An absolute master class in cinematography and using sound to really dramatize the story and make it grand. Does an amazing job pacing multiple perspectives. I think where it falls short is in character development and trying to really care much for the success of their mission. I also understand that this isn’t necessarily and it’s a historical dramatization. It’s best to take the movie for what it is, which an intense war film with stunning cinematography and audio. I tend to like complex character development and rooting for someone like in Top Gun.
Michael Jackson my goat. Obviously Jafar did an amazing job as Michael, honestly crazy. I’m honestly just happy to see the coming up of Michael. I definitely wish they showed a lot more truth of the situation like Janet, how he literally RAN publishing, and maybe a deeper look into the creative process in his music, like the great hits at the time. Other than that it was great, it felt so short. I wanted more!!
I HAVE NO TALENT FOR WAITING Very good honestly very good. Cinematic and poetic, love that he made a play dedicated to his wife and son. It shows that people can have different ways of showing grief. The plot and the emotion is very very compelling. I like the idea of how Shakespeare warned his son in a different way than what is regular or typically the norm which I think is seemed through his wife and I can really relate to that and I just thought it was so poetic, which is fitting because he’s a poet, but it is very well done I felt all the emotions in that. Oscar winning performance from Buckley. Honestly Oscar winning performance from the Jules
What an interesting watch. It felt much like a black mirror episode but one of the good ones. There were some great cinematic moments in here including great set design and technical details such as the volley of deadpans between the two; depending on who is in power. I had no idea what to expect going into this movie; and it’s exactly how I think it should be watched. The ending can be a love it or hate it situation, but I personally liked it as a commentary on the cyclical destructive nature of our species. I’ve realized that Stone really likes being in weird movies, not sure why she did Spider-Man.
Well done movie, it’s interesting that they made it feel like ai which is unsettling in my opinion. But overall the story was great, superman was great, lex was extremely hateable which is great. I thought the commentary on pal was well done even though they denied it LOL
Great film. Corny accents aside, I thought it had great action and plot. I really liked this film as some of the other stand alone hero movies were lacking but this is as good as iron man introduction. The plot was good too. Aside from Killmonger being extremely corny, his motivations were pretty fair.
It was a good introduction to the movie, seeing strange gone his power and how he used it was very interesting but the writing made him feel like a really boring character. Could definitely used some work there. I liked the cool factor of how much power strange could possibly have.
Nothing really happened in this movie aside from the ending sequence. The last fight with iron man and war machine was a great fight where we get to see the progression of tech that Tony works on. Also an absolutely amazing introduction to black widow, Scarlette Johanssonhad me in a chock hold as a 12 year old watching this for the first time.
